Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Knots of Jaipur (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit knotsofjaipur.com (the “Site”) or contact us. We are a small artisan textile studio based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, and we are committed to handling your information respectfully and transparently.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and run our Site:
- Information you give us — your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter, and the content of any message or enquiry you send us (for example, your name, contact details, and what you’re looking for) when you reach out by WhatsApp, email, or our contact links.
- Information collected automatically — when you browse the Site, we and our analytics providers may collect standard technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the site that referred you, and approximate location (country/city). Analytics cookies are only used if you accept them.
We do not process payments on the Site, so we do not collect card or bank details here.
2. Cookies & analytics
When you first visit, we ask for your consent before setting any analytics cookies:
- Google Analytics — loaded only after you click “Accept”. It sets cookies to help us understand how the Site is used. If you decline, it is not loaded at all.
- Vercel Web Analytics & Speed Insights — privacy-friendly and cookieless. They give us aggregated traffic and performance data without identifying you.
- Your preference — we store your cookie choice in your browser so we don’t ask again. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser’s cookies and site data.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and messages.
- To send you our newsletter and occasional updates, if you have subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
- To understand how visitors use the Site, through analytics.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your information based on your consent (for example, for the newsletter and analytics cookies) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving our Site. Where applicable, we handle your data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and, where relevant, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with trusted service providers who help us run the Site, and only as needed:
- Vercel — website hosting, and privacy-friendly analytics.
- Google — website analytics via Google Analytics, if you consent.
- Resend — to send our newsletter and service emails.
- Neon — secure database hosting.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — when you choose to contact us via WhatsApp, your message is handled under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.
We may also disclose information where required to do so by law.
6. International data transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside India (for example, in the United States or the European Union). Where your information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected and is handled in accordance with this Policy.
7. Data retention
We keep your information only for as long as necessary — for example, newsletter data until you unsubscribe, and enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to assist you and keep our records. Analytics data is retained according to our providers’ standard retention periods.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or update it;
- ask us to delete it;
- withdraw your consent (for example, unsubscribe from emails or decline cookies);
- object to certain uses of your information.
To exercise any of these, email us at hello@knotsofjaipur.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. Every newsletter email also includes an unsubscribe link.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including HTTPS encryption and reputable hosting providers — to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-party links
Our Site may link to third-party platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — please review their policies separately.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version, and any material changes will be posted on this page.
13. Contact us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, write to us at hello@knotsofjaipur.com. You can also read our Terms & Conditions.
